Trade and dealer vehicles that swap plates regularly, show and display use, photography, and any situation where you need a plate on and off quickly without drilling or adhesive. Requires a steel mounting surface for the magnets to grip.

Will it work on my car?
The magnets need a steel surface behind the plate position to grip. Many modern bumpers are plastic, so check what your plate area is made of — if a fridge magnet won't stick there, the kit won't either. Steel tailgates, vans and plinths are usually fine.
Is it secure at speed?
Magnetic kits are designed for temporary, trade and display use. They are not intended for sustained motorway speeds, and any magnetic mount should be checked regularly. For everyday road driving, screws or adhesive pads give a more secure, lasting hold.
Will it scratch my paint?
Keeping both the magnet faces and the panel clean is important — grit trapped between them can mark paintwork. Wipe both surfaces before mounting and remove the plate carefully.
