Size
Which plate size do I need?
Measure your existing plate and the space on your vehicle. Millimetres are exact; dimensions shown in “in” are rounded. Standard, short and hex plates share the same 111 mm height.
- Standard: 520 × 111mm (20.5 in), the usual car size.
- Short or hex: for shorter registrations. Choose from the sizes available for your registration below.
- Import: 330 × 178mm (13 × 7 in), a two-line rear plate.
- Motorbike: 237 × 178mm (9.3 × 7 in), rear only.
- Oversize: 533 × 152mm (21 × 6 in), for a larger rear recess.
